This world I create
With my intentions so true
To bring a life,
Perfect for you.
I look for the good,
And delete the bad.
Save the neglected,
And complete a peace
We needed long ago.
You told me of this world,
So long ago,
When I chose to ignore it,
And lived without lament
Not noticing the falling apart,
The broken glass in our souls
The winding road so full of challenge
When everything should be easy.
We shouldnt have to stop and think
About all the little mistakes we make
Or worry about our past regrets
When we could be trying to create
This perfect world we both dreamt of
So long ago.
The pouring rain above the window,
The morning sky full of remorse
Reminds me of you, my dear friend
And those promises you made so long ago.
So where is this perfection you spoke of?
Where is the world put back together,
Because all I see is the remains
Of broken dreams and sorrowful hearts
Pieces of our darkest arts
All around the world, I see nothing right,
All the wrong shadows the light.
So where is this hopeful sympathy?
All I can dream of anymore,
Is a life good for me,
And nothing more.
There is no dreams of mine,
That are meant for others.
I only want my life,
Pieced back together.
Is your life so perfect that you can fix the rest?
Or have you broken down too, and failed your quest?
Do you still have a dreamers affection?
Of not stopping until the very end,
Or have you too forgotten
Of this request, we both wanted to pursue,
To create a perfect world,
For me, and you.
